Description
English: Caesarea Maritima was built during the reign of Herod the Great (c. 15 BCE). During its nearly 1,800-year history, Caesarea was part of Roman Judea, a Byzantine province, under Arab rule, and was captured during the First Crusade.
This is a photo of a place that is recognized as a heritage site by the Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites in Israel.
