Aufgrund dieses Wunsches gewährten ihnen die Götter noch einen Wunsch. ...Philemon und Baucis wünschten sich, den Anderen nicht sterben zu sehen. Sie verwandelten sich im hohen Alter gleichzeitig in Bäume: Philemon in eine Linde, den Baum der Aphrodite, Baucis in eine Eiche.[1]
