Copied from Imgur (Same day as upload, 2 views). Likely dirived from CC-BY Flickr source, but would like to run this by someone else. Dispenser (talk) 18:22, 1 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean "likely derived", I have posted the source of the image where requested and it has been reviewed by Elisfkc. I, in accordance with the licensing which allows me to "remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially" screenshotted a section of the image which automatically uploaded to imgur. I don't really see the issue? WolvesS (talk)
Its possible changes non-CC-BY-SA content was added in the Imgur step. And I'm unsure how it should be handled. Also, why are you posting to Imgur before uploading it here? Dispenser (talk) 19:55, 1 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I reviewed and passed the license because it looked to just be cropped from the Flickr image, and I've given up on uploading the original and then using crop tool on every image that this happens on. Elisfkc (talk) 22:49, 7 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Dispenser: I didn't use snipping tool originally when I uploaded the image, I screenshotted it with an application which uploaded it to my imgur account. I didn't make any changes as you can see. I don't know why this is even being considered for deletion. It's in accordance with the license. WolvesS (talk)

Withdrawn Its clear edge cases such as this are a time sink for otherwise delete happy users. Better tools would be nice (e.g. Upload to: Flickr, Imgur, Commons), so uploads aren't conducted in roundabout ways to copyvio haven websites. But improvements amplify other deficiencies the Wikimedia Foundation doesn't want to spend money on yet. —Dispenser (talk) 16:47, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
