Hello, see the Image:Geta.png. If you take picture on one-color background and need a better work, please see : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikip%C3%A9dia:Atelier_graphique
There you can add your pic to the list, and we will try to clean it (it's background) :]. Yug talk 23:24, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Thank you for your advice. I don't undestand specified page, written in French. But do you mean I can ask cleaning pictures by adding links to that page? Haragayato 03:40, Jun 20, 2005 (UTC) Yes ! ^-^ Yug talk 26 June 2005 11:20 (UTC)
- Just complet the gallery of this page, then wikigraphistes will come to clean it. Yug talk 26 June 2005 11:20 (UTC)
Linking Images
Hello - thank you for providing images to the wikimedia commons. Please keep in mind that images uploaded to the commons should be useful to all users of wikimedia projects - this is possible only if the images can be found by other people. To allow others to find the images you uploaded here, the images should be in some place that can be found by navigating the category structure. This means that you should either place the images on topic pages (galleries), or put the images directly into a category, or do both. Which of those possibilities is preferred is however a matter of debate, see here.
The important point is that the images should be placed in the general structure somewhere. There is a large number of completely unsorted images on the commons right now, see Commons:Really unused. If you would like to help to place some of those images where they can be found, please do! Thank you. -- Duesentrieb 22:45, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Thank you for comment. But please give me a little time to write category. Haragayato 10:49, Jun 25, 2005 (UTC)
- Sorry if I was a little impatient - it's just that there are so many uncategorized images on the commons that I like to tell people right away... Thanks for contributing :) -- Duesentrieb 11:56, 25 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I agree with you about mess of images... Thank you for your effort. But from begginer's eye, proper category is difficult to find out. In my impressopn, category itself is in mess. I hope it would be in order. Haragayato 12:27, Jun 25, 2005 (UTC)
Categories and articles
I agree with you. Articles with no media are not very useful on Commons. (However, I started some articles like Honshu with links to the regions and prefectures; maybe that's useful? I don't know. I started it because it was on a list of most-wanted articles.) Thanks Fg2 00:55, July 31, 2005 (UTC)
- I corrected categories of almost all Japanese Temple pictures recently. And found most pictures are also categorized by location. In my opinion, to organize by location is useful, but I'm afraid it is useful only for residents in Japan if we fail to choose proper classification. Categories like Honsyu seems to be good.
Toki-ho 15:04, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
Haragayato 10:14, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Toki-ho 03:47, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Haragayato 13:20, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
Translation of guidelines in Category:Shinto shrines
Hi,
could you please translate the guidelines I have edited in the category into Japanese? I think that might be very helpful, considering a lot of the contributors in that area speak Japanese only. --Melanom 10:48, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
- Yes. Just finished. Haragayato 14:17, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your kind contribution! --Melanom 17:11, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Auch! I made mistake in Hepburn romanization after translating examples. Microsft IME might be too flexible for various romanization system. Haragayato 14:02, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think I understand your IME-remark. Would you care to explain it to me in more concise terms? --Melanom 12:17, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- What I was taught in school was Hepburn = "jinja", but I was taught to type "jinjya" for very early version of IME. After it become unnecessary, IME still compatible and I continue to type in the wrong way, misunderstanding I was using Hepburn. Haragayato 12:59, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Image:Taketombo.JPGを日本語版で使用しました。 ^^--Toto-tarou 18:25, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
。。^^); Haragayato 13:17, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Hello Haragayato, i'm currently editing the article on scissors in the german wikipedia (de:Schere) and just discovered your picture. Now i'm looking for some additional information regarding this model. Perhaps you can tell me what it's used for? Is this for cutting bonsais? I'd really appreciate your help. Kind regards --Zinnmann 01:38, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for good question. The explanation is added to the pictute. Haragayato 14:03, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Image Tagging Image:Hakka_ame.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Hakka_ame.JPG. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page. If the content is a derivative of a copyrighted work, you need to supply the names and a licence of the original authors as well.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use cc-by-sa-2.5 to release it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license or PD-self to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you. Tenji Block
Hello Mr. Haragayato,
I am a student at the faculty of design in Darmstadt, Germany.
Within this term we research about supernormal design which surrounds us in our daily life. "Supernormal" means in this case that we do not recognize it has been designed, but that there has been some design-process after all.
I research about the tactile pavement created by Seiichi Miyake in 1965. You uploaded the photograph "http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Tenji-block.JPG". Are that the first tactile tiles that were used in a street in Okayama city, Japan, in 1967? Or maybe do you have further information about the inventor of the tenji-block like an email adress or webpages or anything else?
Am I allowed to republish this photo within our course-documentation? It will be published for free from "www.lulu.com". When I get this creative commons licence right, I need to add information about you. May you tell me what information you want me to add?
Greetings, Doreen Kirbis
Hi Doreen Kirbis
The photograph of tenji block is not special. I happen to take this photo because it is new and clean. They are daily objects in Japan. If you find yellow aera on pavement near crosswork by google street, it will be tenji-block. Anyway republish is welcome and honorable. Hyper-link to commons image page and refer to "Wikipedia" is enough as image information.

Hello again Mr. Haragayato,
many thanks for your fast response.
I just used Google Street View to see the yellow tiles on the streets. Since I am not really successful in finding personal information about Mr. Seiichi Miyake, I wanted to know if you have an idea where I might find the personal e-mail of Mr. Seiichi Miyake or some sort of a biographie.
I wish you a nice and pleasant weekend, Doreen Kirbis
Hi Doreen Kirbis
Unfortunately, I don't know Mr. Seiichi Miyake personally.
I forget to mention one thing. You could see google street both from google map and from google earth. In my experience, the picture from google map is often more clear, and recommended. Try Tokyo central.
Bye
Tip: Categorizing images
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT 05:48, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

Copyright Inquiry (File:Taketombo.JPG?)
Dear Haragayato, I am e-mailing from a production company in England and we are making a documentary series for National Geographic. We would love to use the image you have uploaded, Taketombo, within our documentary. Before we can do so, we need to double check this image is in the public domain. It would be great to discuss this further over e-mail. Please e-mail me.
Many Thanks,
Ellie
