This photo of Cary Grant is a studio portrait made for the film "Only Angels Have Wings" from 1939. The copyright owner is Columbia Pictures (you can find the photo with the copyright note "Columbia Pictures" here: https://www.cbsnews.com/pictures/cary-grant-peerless/13/). The photo was uploaded to commons as a flickr import (from https://www.flickr.com/photos/tom-margie/1539154218/) under the licence cc-by-sa-2.0 which the flickr user "Insomnia Cured Here" used for it on flickr - and which is obviously not correct. The date given on flickr - October 10th, 2007 - is clearly also not the correct date of the photograph which was made in 1939. SeptemberWoman (talk) 20:34, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
Deleted: this could be PD-US-no-notice like many of these publicity shots, but to establish that we'd need to see an original print including its back to check for the absence of a copyright notice. --Rosenzweig τ 16:39, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
