Keep Not a copyo, just an image of the boardgame. Why this campaign against boardgame's picture ? We need images to present boardgames on Wikipedia. Rsalen 05:23, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Comment Contibutors who turn up to say "Not a copyvio, just an image of the boardgame" might like to read Commons:Derivative works. The game has a prominent printed design on it which is copyright. The owner of that copyright has not given consent to a reproduction. This image is a reproduction which is intended to show the design, and hence is a copyright infringement. --MichaelMaggs 17:58, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We're not concerned in this request with the others, although several do appear to be untenable. If the primary subject is a copyright work (of the box, gameboard or whatever) the image must go. But if the copyright work is merely incidental to another subject it is OK. We can deal with the others if someone proposes them for deletion.--MichaelMaggs 19:01, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
