Caption: Staff Sgt. Timothy McCoy and Sgt. Abel Villarreal work on an AH-1 Cobra helicopter to remove the helicopters infrared guidance system, as Sgt. Chris Mergen pushes from the cockpit. The system is key to the Cobra’s ability to accurately hit targets, and the maintenance Marines from the Camp Al Qaim detachment of Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 369 replaced the large part in a few hours.
