Description

Glaucous-winged gull feeding on a flat fish (hanging from its mouth).

I wish I could have gotten a better picture. We could see this very well through the scope. The detail on the fish was visible, could see how the gull sort of flipped and rotated it around in its mouth.

The guide didn't know why the gull was doing that, but theorized it was "tenderizing it."
