Summary
[edit]DescriptionJarrah tree burls 01 gnangarra.JPG |
Taken in the Monadnocks Conservation reserve near the bibbulmun track where it crosses the upper reaches of the Canning river Old Eucalyptus marginata or Jarrah tree note the burls, early logging avoided trees like this as they were difficult to cut and were thought to have poor structural integrity, the burls are now highly sought after for furniture making because of the grain texture on the polished timber. |
