Description
English: Pirna, Am Markt 3, cultural heritage monument built 1506.
Deutsch: Pirna: Blick auf das "Peter-Ulrich-Haus" (Am Markt 3). Das 1506 erbaute Haus zählt zu den bedeutendsten Denkmalen Pirnas. Bauherr und Eigentümer war der Baumeister Peter Ulrich, der auch als Peter von Pirna bekannt war. Ulrich war Baumeister beim Bau der Pirnaer Stadtkirche St. Marien. Im Erdgeschoss des Hauses war von 1572–1575 die erste Pirnaer Apotheke untergebracht. Die äußere Gestalt des Hauses wird insbesondere von dem spätgotischen Sitznischenportal mit fünffachem Kielbogen geprägt. Das Gebäude befindet sich mittlerweile im Eigentum des bekannten Künstlers Tom Pauls, der es von 2009-2011 grundlegend sanieren ließ. Es wird als Theater genutzt und ist Sitz der "Ilse-Bähnert-Stiftung".
