Descrierea stemei

Stema comunei Peregu Mare, potrivit anexei nr. 1, se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, tăiat.

În partea superioară, în câmp albastru, se află un zid de cetate cu trei ferestre negre şi două turnuri; fiecare turn are câte o fereastră şi o poartă de culoare neagră. Deasupra zidului se află un braţ în armură, de argint, cu mâna de aur, ce ţine o sabie de argint.

În vârful scutului, în câmp roşu, se află o tulpină de porumb cu ştiulete, flancată de două spice de grâu, toate de aur.

Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat.

Semnificaţiile elementelor însumate

Zidul de cetate, braţul înarmat şi sabia semnifică luptele de apărare ale locuitorilor în timpul invaziei mongolilor din anul 1241. Ştiuletele de porumb şi spicele reprezintă ocupaţia de bază a locuitorilor, agricultura.

Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
