TTATT is an acronym for "The Thing Around The Thing."

This term, first known to be used by Neal Thomison around 1998,
refers to the meta issues which surround the topic in question.

In designing software, creating art or negotiating contracts often
the context and implications of the topic on the history and
interrelationships at play is often as significant, if not more
significant, that the content of the topic itself.

Jehovah's Witnesses

Another use of the acronym "TTATT" is the use by former Jehovah's Witnesses to refer to "The Truth About The Truth". See JWStruggle.com for more on the exJW usage of TTATT. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that they are the only true religion. See http://www.watchtower.org/e/jt/article_08.htm . Hence, all Jehovah's Witnesses speak of their organization as being "The Truth".

Because of this, many former members feel obligated to inform current Jehovah's Witnesses about "The Truth About The Truth". According to the book "Crisis of Conscience" by Raymond Franz, there have been many secret policies that have led to the death and harm of countless Jehovah's Witnesses. Yet, because the Watchtower Society forbids the reading of any critical information regarding themselves, most rank and file Jehovah's Witnesses are unaware of the acts committed by the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Some of these alleged atrocities include:

The death of thousands of Jehovah's Witnesses that refused organ transplants until Watchtower organization mysteriously reversed it's policies in the 1980's.

The scandal involving Mexico and Malawi, in which Mexican Jehovah's Witnesses were allowed to bribe public officials into giving them a card that illegally stated that they had fulfilled their military duties towards the country; but Malawi Jehovah's Witnesses were told that they should accept death instead of buy a card that stated that they were citizens of the country of Malawi. This led to the rape, torture, and death of thousands of Malawi Jehovah's Witnesses.

The coverup of the Watchtower society regarding the policies regarding child molestation and their policy for covering up any alleged abuse that does not have at least 2 verifiable witnesses to the actual act of molestation.

These are but 3 issues that former Jehovah's Witnesses bring up to current Jehovah's Witnesses in an attempt to help the to see "The Truth About The Truth".
