Therefore posted here: In 1224 the official city seal stated : '''Sigillum Burgensium Dantzike''' with a [[Hanse]] Kogge cogg, very similar to other Hanseatic city seals, especially Luebeck. Danzig remained officially in the Hanse and took part in the meetings until 1669. Language and laws of Hanse was German.
