Treks to the [[Deosai Plains]], the second highest in the world at {{convert|4114|m|ft}} above sea level, after the [[Chang Tang]] in [[Tibet]], either start from or end at SkarduAStore. In the local [[BaltiShina language]], Deosai is called ByarsaDeo_Sai ''བྱིར་ས'', meaning 'summerLand placeof Giants'.
