::Yeah, this for sure is not a new problem, as BK and myself are well aware, but it seems particularly acute this year. I agree that all we can do is the community is try to elect people who seem like they will actually do the job. We should of course also always remember that arbs aren't paid any more than the rest of us. That being said, once an arb finds they really don't have the time, the right thing to do is resign, as opposed to going inactive for the majority of your term. :::I know this will feel rich from someone who did resign, but I think there's a size of the committee where that is no longer true? So if an arb is inactive 98% that 2% of activity could still be really useful when we're dealing with effectively 10 or fewer people as the starting point.
