TheIn January 1923, not long after [[Benito Mussolini]]'s [[March on Rome]], the first fascist party was founded in the Netherlands; [[Union of Actualists]] ({{lang-nl|Verbond van Actualisten}}, VvA) is seen as the first fascist party in the Netherlands. The party was founded by, amongst others by, [[Hugo Sinclair de Rochemont]] and [[Alfred Haighton]]. The party participated in the [[1925 Dutch general election|Dutch general election]], but received only 0.07% of the votes. Internal divisions between moderates and more extreme fascists lead to a split in 1926 and the dissolution in 1928.
