He also appears in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time]]'', where he is shown to have been taking care of Princess Peach since she was a baby and he was a spry young mushroom. He/they (as both young and old Toadsworths work together) also teach(es) the Mario Brothers the field abilities needed to traverse the levels of the game. This game also explains Toadsworth's past and personality. In the past, he was much more carefree and reckless in his youth. Also on the [[Nintendo DS]], Toadsworth appeared in ''[[Super Princess Peach]]'', a game where Princess Peach sets out on her own adventure to save Mario and Luigi. He appeared again in ''[[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door]]'', taking Princess Peach to the town of Rogueport, where he loses her. Afterwards, he is usually found in the Inn.
