On November 1, 2012, at a standup performance in Denver, Colorado, Williams performance came to a halt after Williams jumped off stage to confront a heckler less than a half hour into his set. A shoving match involving a heckler, Williams' bodyguard, and Denver Police ensued. In November 2010, Williams was arrested by police while working on a film in Coweta County, Georgia. He was accused of stealing $3,500 worth of coins and jewelry.
