(@Stephen2nd: Both are perfectly fine to upload on enWP under the fair-use rules. Just not on Commons please.@Stephen2nd: You need to save them on your own computer and upload them on enWP. en:Wikipedia:Upload/old and there click on "It is a historically significant fair use image" which is the sixth option.
