Margaret Bakkes

Margaret Bakkes (14 December 1931 – 29 June 2016) was a noted South African writer. She was married to historian Cas Bakkes, and the mother of four children: Johannes, Marius, Matilde and Christiaan. Two of her children, Johan and Christiaan Bakkes, have become writers as well.[1] She wrote more than thirty books and short stories.
