Palestine, officially known as the State of Palestine, is a country in the Levantine region of the Western Asia. It officially consists of two non-contiguous territories — the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The West Bank shares borders with Israel and Jordan, while Gaza shares its borders with Israel and Egypt, on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. Palestine have a population of 5.5 million people and spread across an area of 6,500 km. It is considered as a homeland by the Palestinians, who are ethnically Arabs.
