- The Ticketron brand is owned by me. I dont care what the history of the brand was back in 1990. The brand is not out of business so to claim that at the very top of the Wikipedia history of Ticketron is blatantly incorrect.
- This is now showing up when people search my brand which I obtained directly from Ticketmaster and own the Federal trademarks and 100% rights to.
- If this comment at the very top of this history is not deleted, I will be sending this to my attorneys for legal proceedings.
- Your blatant lie is damaging my business and I will give you or the adminstrators 7 days to remove that comment before I take action.
- Whether or not you like how I run my business, does not matter, nor does your opinion, the fact is the Ticketron brand and business is alive and well. 73.198.81.234 (talk) 01:28, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
I would love to know who is behind making such blatanly incorrect statements and the reason behind it being placed at the very top and highlighted so the search engines and AI would pick up on that.

- Anyone with half a brain could read in the article that the brand was acquired from Ticketmaster in 2017. Anyone who does any research would see the Federal Trademarks are live. Anyone who does any research could see that Ticketron is active online.
- And furthermore let me ask this, Why the need to place that comment right at the top of the History of Ticketron and highlight it? This was done intentionally as to have AI pick up on this. It is now having a detrimental impact on my business. Care to explain? 73.198.81.234 (talk) 01:35, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hi IP. I haven't edited the articles, but I might be able to explain what's going on. Something that trips up a lot of people is that Wikipedia only uses information that we consider reliable - usually that means it has to be in a reputable newspaper, or journal, or book, or website. So if you try to make changes that don't have a reliable source attached, people think you might just be making things up to mess with Wikipedia. I know that sounds ridiculous, but there are a lot of people who find it fun to mess around with articles here so that we have the wrong information. The reason there was information in the lede (right at the top) that said that Ticketron was defunct is because that part should summarize the rest of the article. It's not about malice or bad intentions; we're trying to be accurate based on the information we have. Sometimes the information we have is outdated, and we don't know until someone finds new information.
- The good news is that another editor has found a reliable source about Ticketron becoming active again, and they've successfully changed the lede. Google has already picked this up, at least when I checked - it says "Ticketron, Inc., doing business as Ticketron.com, is an American ticket sales company established in 2017. The original Ticketron, Inc., active from the 1960s..." If it hasn't yet changed for you, it should do so in the next couple of days at most. We can't affect what Google displays, but usually it's very quick to pick up the changes made here and display the new information.
- Hopefully that resolves the problem and you understand what happened and why. Good luck with your business! StartGrammarTime (talk) 04:37, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
