Pérez-Llorca is an international law firm that operates in Spain, Portugal and Mexico .[1][2][3].[4]

History and Milestones

In 2013, Pérez-Llorca moved its Madrid office to Paseo de la Castellana.[5][6][7][8][9] In October 2018, the firm became classified as a Large Company.[10]

The firm began publishing its own Legal Journal in 2019, the year in which its founder José Pedro Pérez-Llorca passed away.[11][12]

In 2021 Pérez-Llorca moved its London headquarters to Mayfair. [13]

The firm's expansion continued with new openings in Brussels and Singapore in 2022 and 2023.[14][15]

In September 2023 Pérez-Llorca announced the establishment of a new office and team in Lisbon. This office is dedicated to practising Portuguese law and the firm’s aim is to increase its work in this market to cover the entire Iberian Peninsula.[16]

In July 2024 Pérez-Llorca entered the Mexican market through its merger with the firm Gonzalez Calvillo. The project added a further 100 lawyers and around 160 professionals to the firm. [17]

Pérez-Llorca/IE Chair

The Pérez-Llorca/IE Chair on Commercial Law is a top collaborative initiative launched by both a law firm and a university.[18]

Pérez-Llorca/ICADE Chair

In 2021 the firm signed a collaboration agreement with the Universidad Pontificia Comillas to create the Pérez-Llorca/ICADE Chair in Economics and Competition Law.[19]

There is a Pérez-Llorca Legal Journal.[20]

Pérez-Llorca App

In 2022, Pérez-Llorca launched an app.[21]

The European Centre for Digital Regulation

In April 2024 Pérez-Llorca and the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid launched the European Centre for Digital Regulation, a pioneering initiative aimed at generating technical and legal knowledge and promoting collaboration between the private sector, academia and public authorities in order to address the regulatory challenges of the digital sector and the creation of effective and sustainable regulation. Pérez-Llorca is an international law firm that operates in Spain, Portugal and Mexico and provides high-end advice on major market transactions and disputes. The firm has offices in Barcelona, Brussels, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Mexico City, Monterrey, New York, and Singapore, where almost 500 lawyers and more than 800 professionals work together.[1][2][3]

Firm history and main mailstones

In 2006, Chambers & Partners awarded Pérez-Llorca with the award 'Iberian Law Firm of the Year'.[4]

In 2013, Pérez-Llorca moved its Madrid office to Paseo de la Castellana 50. The following year, the Barcelona office moved to the Alta Diagonal building located on Avenida Diagonal. [5]

In 2015, the firm continued its expansion and opened its first overseas office in London. A few months later it established a presence in New York. [6] That same year, the directory Chambers & Partners presented the firm with the award for ‘Spain Client Service’.[7]

In 2017, Chambers & Partners presented Pérez-Llorca with the award for 'Spain Law Firm of the Year' for the second time.[8][9]

In October 2018, the firm opened its second office in Madrid in the Cuatro Torres Business Area financial district, and became classified as a Large Company.[10]
