Ego Trippin' is the ninth studio album by Long Beach, California-based rapper Snoop Dogg that is scheduled to be released in March 2008. The clean version leaked onto the internet on February 29th.

Singles

The first single is "Sexual Eruption",[5] (also known as the censored version "Sensual Seduction"), the video of which features Snoop Dogg singing with a talkbox through a keytar. Snoop Dogg says he is not sure about the second single yet, but it might be a Neptunes-produced track titled "Sets Up".[6] Producer DJ Quik has stated he will be working on the album,[7] along with Pharrell Williams and Teddy Riley.[8]. MTV has mentioned that Teddy Riley was given the task of coming up with Ego Trippin's second single, a follow-up to the monster track "Sensual Seduction." "We redid Morris Day and the Time's 'Cool,'" Snoop said with a smile. "People are gonna trip when they hear how I'm singing on there. Teddy had me sing the whole thing by myself."[9] However, according to DubCNN, Snoop filmed a video for what is slated to be his newest single, "Life of da Party".[10]

Collaborations

Snoop Dogg had originally announced that there will not be any guest appearances on the album.[11] However, he did mention doing a song with Pharrell, Nelly and Charlie Wilson, titled "Feet Don't Fail Me Now," and that he would like to work with Madonna, Bono and Mick Jagger as well.[6] He has also spoke on collaborating with Teddy Riley, DJ Quik, Raphael Saadiq, Too Short among others.[9] Near the release of the album, Snoop Dogg spoke to DubCNN regarding the album.[12] He spoke on working with Whitey Ford on a country song called "Johnny Cash".[12] That song was renamed and is "My Medicine" on the album. He also spoke of working with Charlie Wilson and the Gap Band on an R&B song titled "Say Goodbye".[12] Speaking on "Say Goodbye", Snoop says, "This song makes me want to cry every time I hear it. It is a reflection of my life and how I have grown as not only an artist but also a man - it is about me staying true to where I came from while having to accept where I am in my life today, it's deep."[12]
