Note

Note: should we really have these three pages setup like this:

Santana (band) --> Carlos_Santana Santana Blues Band

Maybe put this content (currently under "Santana Blues Band") under "Santana (band)" and have "Santana Blues Band" redirect to it? - - - - not signed comment by User:Maubp

Sorry, but we do not have three pages. We have Carlos Santana, which is a person, who should have an own page; and we have this page about a group which is sometimes accompanying him - something else. Santana (band) is a wrong redirect. Against to merge it together. -jkb- 20:10, 8 September 2006 (UTC) - - - P.S. See also the page Santana (which is a disambig.). -jkb- 20:24, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Redirect is apparently established with Santana Blues Band

Suggested merge/redirect has been established.Dogru144 22:10, 16 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image

I'm gonna put a pic of Santana on this article, but it looks like something might be messed up with the pic, so the change might not be permanent. - Kevin (TALK) 16:20, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately the image seems to be missing a valid source. This is needed to establish who is releasing the image under license. Can you fix this so the pic can stay? Notinasnaid 17:21, 14 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Oops, I forgot about the pic, and now its too late. It wasn't my pic in the first place, tho, so I'm not sure what I could of done. What about using the pic from Carlos Santana? -- Kevin (TALK) 20:15, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup

Can somebody make a list of things that need cleaning up in this article? That way, people can do things, then cross them off the list. I wasn't too sure exactly why that banner was up. Thanks! -- Kevin (TALK) 20:56, 1 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Carlos Santana albums

All albuns credited to Carlos Santana are categorized as Category:Santana albums. Shouldn't we create a category for Calor Santana albums? In the French and Italian Wikipedias, both Santana and Carlos Santana albums are categorized together as "Carlos Santana albums", which I consider not to be the right thing either. When I started to create their albums at the Portuguese Wikipedia, I created two different categories, and I think it's time we did the same here. By the way, I've been taking a look at Santana Live, and I'm starting to doubt whether it exists. There is a similar album at Allmusic, but with another label and a slightly different track listing. If the album is an unofficial compilation by Tring (or whatever the real label is), then I believe we should delete it. If you take a look at the Santana discography in allmusic, you can see there are plenty compilations that I've never heard about...and I hope nobody starts creating articles on each of them. Rhythm Guitar

This section is not quite right, because in 1969, Carlos was playing both rhythm and lead parts by himself, and it's that lineup that was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. So something in the dates is off for rhythm guitar. JoeD80 (talk) 00:29, 7 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Past Personnel Listing

A number of the musicians listed as past members here, particularly in the vocalist section, were in fact one-off guests. While the line can be tough to define in the case of a band with such a fluid lineup, it's clear that, for example, Rob Thomas and others were guesting on the Supernatural project while Leon Thomas was an actual band member even if for only about a year. Should there be an effort to clean this up? —Preceding unsigned comment added by VAMark (talkcontribs) 21:27, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'm removing Chad Kroeger from the "previous vocals" section. He guested on two songs, same as some other artists, such as Michelle Branch, who are not on the list. Iain Dalton (talk) 03:04, 17 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
