This article is simply too technical for a lay audience and, in its present state, would be more suited to a medical textbook. It is jargon-heavy and assumes far too much prior knowledge. 217.155.20.163 23:00, 25 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Risk Stratification nonsense

"Presence of 1 of these indicates severe disease (5-year mortality 26%) and 2 or more very severe disease (mortality 46%), while absence of any of these 5 indicates a milder case (mortality 11.9%)."

That seems to contradict itself fairly massively, I suspect someone has attempted to summarise the source too heavily and missed some important element. As I don't have access to pubmed, or the expertise to really interpret the contents, I can't help. Someone needs to correct, or erase, the section.

merge

Yes, Churg-Strauss needs to be merged with Churg-strauss. They're the same, except for the capitalization of the s. I'd do it now if I had the know-how. Cajolingwilhelm 01:12, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

LTA

Leukotriene antagonists have been linked with CSS. This is probably due to steroid withdrawal. An anon added a 1997 report about this, but since then there have been many reports weakening the association.

The latest review, in French:

Guilpain P, Pagnoux C, Lhote F, Mouthon L, Guillevin L (2007). "[Antileukotrienes and Churg-Strauss syndrome]". Presse Med (in French). 36 (5 Pt 2): 890–4. doi:10.1016/j.lpm.2007.01.034. PMID 17383148. {{cite journal}}: Unknown parameter |month= ignored (help)CS1 maint: multiple names: authors list (link)

The article needs substantial rewriting at the moment. JFW | T@lk 07:59, 24 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

What are the symptoms of Churg-Strauss

this article needs a section about symptoms, preferably by a doctor or researcher (not me) who knows what they're talking about.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 13:46, 6 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

layman's terms?

why is it all these medical/medicine wikipedia pages are so hard to understand? I came here for general information on this syndrome and can't understand a thing I am reading. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.81.53.229 (talk) 20:35, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

What causes it?

This article really needs more about the cause of the syndrome. Please improve!
