Jairangam- Jaipur Theatre Festival - Gateway to drama and art is wide open with impending theatre festival “JAIRANGAM”.

The inaugural chapter of the Jaipur Theater Festival, appropriately christened- Jairangam, took place in 2001. Recognizing a vacuum in quality theatrical activities, the founder – 3m dot bands, envisioned a festival that would enliven and enrich the culture life of jaipur initially.

Jairangam was first conducted in the year 2012, the festival has since then become a big name in the theater industry in the mere short span of 5 years.

Jairangam falls in winters,which is unsurprisingly the best time to visit “Pink city” Jaipur. It’s a popular tourist destination which depicts Rajasthani culture around the city.

The festival prides itself on having collaborated with undiscovered, emerging and established playwrights. Jairangam focus on new work also which will reappraise Jaipur’s exciting repertoire of plays with today’s audience, thereby creating its own classics.[1]

Global star Irrfan Khan was born and brought up in Rajasthan, the actor has decided to do something special for the state. Irrfan has apparently become the face of Jairangam, the popular Jaipur Theatre Festival. - [2]
