History

Established in 4 July 1999, the institution is regulated by the Bangladesh Army and approved by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Sylhet.[4] It offers higher secondary subjects including science, commerce and arts programmes. The institute was awarded "Best Institution" on 18 January 2004 by the president of Bangladesh.[5][failed verification] Facilities include a 1,000-seat auditorium.[citation needed]

The principal is usually a lieutenant colonel of the Army Education Corps of Bangladesh Army. If an officer is not found who is a lieutenant colonel then a civilian is employed as the principal.[citation needed] The principal is the Member Secretary of the Governing Body.[6]

The prolocutor of the Governing Body is the station commander of Jalalabad Cantonment. The prolocutor is a brigadier general of the Bangladesh Army.[6]

The school section gives the opportunity of studying from class 1 to 10. Students of class 9 and 10 can study science, business studies and arts programmes. In classes 6-10, an English version is available as well as Bangla.The school has some problem about beating and haradsing students.The teachers are not well behaved and are not expert in education.The students are supressed from many sides.[citation needed]

College

JCPSC started the college section in 1999, initially with only a science program. Arts and Business Studies programmes were added later.[citation needed]The college became the best among all cantonment colleges of Bangladesh in the year 2018 beating Adamjee Cantonment.It uses different modern ways and mutimedia to conduct their classes.The college has been the best college in Sylhet since 2010.But nowadays the college is known for giving pressure to students in education. The teaching quality is very bad and with illiterate teachers.
