Description Detail of Henry Timberlake's 1765 "Draught of the Cherokee Country," showing the location and layout of the Cherokee town of Mialoquo, or "Great Island". The Mialoquo site is now submerged under Tellico Lake in modern-day Monroe County, Tennessee, in the southeastern United States. The village's namesake island (pictured with dwellings) would later be known as Rose Island.
