Following the poor result (20th place) in the [[Eurovision Song Contest 2006|2006 contest]], the Moldovan broadcaster, [[Teleradio-Moldova|Teleradio-Moldova (TRM)]] announced that it would withdraw from participation and did not allocate a budget for the 2007 Contest.
