Why was the article moved with a capitalized "in"?
editThis move (log entry in this article's history) is puzzling, especially with the explanation given for the move. Is there any special reason why "in" is capitalized here? MOS:TITLECAPS states prepositions of four or fewer letters are uncapitalized (if not at the beginning or end of the title). Even the guideline cited in the move explanation upholds the TITLECAPS guideline on capitalization or not of prepositions (see WP:Naming conventions (music)#Capitalization). The result of the move request was: Speedy moved. This is uncontroversial, per naming conventions. — Amakuru (talk) 10:29, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
Astronaut In the Ocean → Astronaut in the Ocean – per MOS:CAPTITLE and WP:NCMUSIC, prepositions shorter than 5 letters shouldn't be capitalized. There was no reason to move the page in the first place. Ïvana (talk) 03:00, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support for speedy close; consider listing on WP:RMTR. Invinciblewalnut (talk) 05:58, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support, per my questioning in the topic above about this. There is nothing in the MOS:TITLECAPS guideline, nor the one cited in the move explanation to the capitalized "in", that qualifies as an exception to the rule about how to capitalize prepositions (and yeah, I also saw the part about "phrasal verbs", and it's not even close to that). I attempted to revert the move but it denied the attempt because of the existence of the title with the uncapitalized "in" (which is a redirect). MPFitz1968 (talk) 06:54, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
