Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Case Keenum, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. Thank you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 18:57, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
Hey Eagles 24/7, what’s a sandbox in Wikipedia? ReaganHoang10 (talk) 02:56, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
Please stop making test edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Calais Campbell. It is considered vandalism, which, under Wikipedia policy, can lead to being blocked from editing. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:56, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
- A sandbox is a page you can test out edits in that won't appear on highly-visible pages. Eagles 24/7 (C) 17:56, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
I made test edits on Wikipedia because I want to find out IF I’m blocked from editing Wikipedia. Because usually when you’re blocked and you try to edit something, it’s a reminder that you’re blocked. Sorry about that ReaganHoang10 (talk) 05:02, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

Plus, how is spreading factual information V@ND@L!$M? I edit player’s teams for a reason. I check the transactions every day to edit player’s teams, and somehow you try to 🛑STOP🛑 me from spreading factual NFL information. Who cares if it’s poorly sourced, I’m trying to make Wikipedia as true as possible. And I ain’t a hacker bro. Please stop reminding me for spreading factual NFL information, even when it’s unsourced or poorly sourced. Really upset ReaganHoang10 (talk) 23:58, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

Roster templates
editPlease make sure you update the count when making a roster change.--Rockchalk717 03:58, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
What do you mean by count? ReaganHoang10 (talk) 04:45, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- This part of the template:
|Active=90
|Inactive=1
It's the count for active players, players on any sort of reserve list, players on the practice squad, or in the offseason the number of free agents. You must update the count each time. Additionally, the date needs to be updated each time as well if the template hasn't been updated the day you're making the edit, but only change the edit if you're adding a transaction.--Rockchalk717 14:43, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
"I have reliable info"
editHey @ReaganHoang10, first off, thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to bring up your addition here. I had removed a player's number because I couldn't find a source on it and you added it back stating "I have reliable info". Simply saying that you have reliable info is not enough, you need to provide a reliable source in cases like this where your change was questioned. It just so happens that the Lions did update their roster numbers and your edit is correct, but in the future if someone asks for a source you should provide one instead of expecting people to just trust you. Hey man im josh (talk) 16:33, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- I don’t think jersey numbers need sources ReaganHoang10 (talk) 17:57, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- They don't need inline sources, but if a player's jersey number is disputed you should provide a source when asked for one. After all, you must have gotten that information from somewhere. Otherwise we could go back and forth forever where I say it's unsourced and I can't find anything with that number, you would just say "I have reliable info", and where would that get us? Again, I appreciate the work you've been doing, but neither you or I are infallible. Hey man im josh (talk) 18:26, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
I found that information on a reliable Twitter account ReaganHoang10 (talk) 18:28, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- I encourage you to check out WP:INDENT and to indent your replies to make conversation easier to follow.
- All I'm asking is that moving forward, if you're asked for a source, that you link it in the edit summary when you re-add the number back. So if I reverted you and asked for a source, you can revert me and provide said source in the edit summary. Just make sure that you don't just say that you got it from a reliable source, but you instead prove it for others to see. Hey man im josh (talk) 18:32, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
Ok I will next time ReaganHoang10 (talk) 18:34, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- If you are continuing to use the Twitter page that I advised you back in July to stop using, that is a problem. That Twitter account does not meet Wikipedia's definition of a reliable source, specifically because it's a self published source. Please stop editing based off that Twitter account or your edits will continue to be reverted. Continuing to edit based on that Twitter account as well can and will lead to be block. Please read the policies I have linked carefully.--Rockchalk717 04:49, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
What makes you think it is not a reliable source? I actually talked to him on one of his tweets to make sure, and he said yes by showing a photo of that player wearing that number. And team websites mess up on jersey numbers more than likely. And I have seen it. And I know for sure that one of that Twitter account’s information will eventually be on the team website. I have read your message, but I disagree about what you have said. Plus, 2 players on the same team can’t have the same number during the regular season. Injuries aren’t exceptions. I have seen players switch numbers when they’re no longer injured. We can talk about this with other WikiProject NFL members on the WikiProject NFL talk page. I know that you disagree with me, but we will see if others agree with what I put. ReaganHoang10 (talk) 07:15, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- Dude, I literally gave you two policies that state it's not a reliable source. Please read those policies. Regardless of if you disagree or not, that Twitter account does not fit Wikipedia's definition of reliability. Because that Twitter account is not connected to a Major website and because the owner does not provide there name to verify if they are a known expert, it is considered a self published source. But I'll give you the policies again: WP:RS and WP:RS/SPS. And FYI, the proper place to discuss if it's reliable is WP:RSN. That's the reliable sources noticeboard.--Rockchalk717 18:39, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- It may sound silly but pretty much any Twitter account without a verified checkmark (with some exceptions) is not going to pass a reliability check, especially one with only 757 followers. This is because of Twitter's verification policies usually clear out the non-reliable ones.--Rockchalk717 18:46, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- Additionally, social media accounts are rarely considered reliable per WP:UGC.--Rockchalk717 18:48, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry for blowing up your notifications but I have a lot of things to say about this issue. Team websites are about the only place that falls under WIKIPEDIA'S definition (not mine) of a reliable source. Yes they make mistakes, like one recent example is until camp after the Chiefs traded for Orlando Brown, they listed his number at 78 despite 78 being retired in honor of Hall of Famer Bobby Bell. But I would say as high as 90% of the time they are accurate for jersey numbers. For team websites, photo galleries can be used as a source for number (like I've done with Danny Shelton). But a random (yes it is random no matter how badly you want to swear it isn't) Twitter account with a username saying something "NFL Jersey numbers" cannot be used as a source.--Rockchalk717 23:32, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
- Additionally, social media accounts are rarely considered reliable per WP:UGC.--Rockchalk717 18:48, 5 September 2022 (UTC)

Don’t just assume that it isn’t reliable because it’s just an unverified Twitter account. As I said earlier, I actually talked with him about one of his tweets and he gave me a photo of that player wearing the number. So I consider it reliable because giving me a photo of that player wearing that number is actually more than reliable. So I’d say that Twitter account is correct 99% of the time. ReaganHoang10 (talk) 03:00, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
- Twitter accounts are definitively not considered a reliable source. Even though the numbers do not require inline citations, when they're in dispute, info from reliable sources should take precedent. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:22, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
Plus, jersey numbers don’t need citations. ReaganHoang10 (talk) 03:03, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
- It's not reliable based on Wikipedia's definition. Point blank. Also point blank, stop trying to use it as a source and don't make edits based on what you see there. You don't need to cite a number the article but if a player doesn't have a number listed on the team website, you need to provide in your edit summary where you got the number from and make sure that website meets WP:RS. That Twitter account does not. And no, per Wikipedia's definition of reliable sources, Twitter accounts are not more reliable than team websites. Please understand I am speaking purely based on policy and not saying that Twitter account is inaccurate, just that doesn't fit Wikipedia's definition of a reliable source.--Rockchalk717 18:42, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
- You can have a conversation with the team equipment manager about jersey numbers and it won't change social media is rarely considered reliable, again, by Wikipedia's definition.--Rockchalk717 18:49, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

Corey Coleman
editI'm going to give a little more detail here. We have reliable sources saying Corey Coleman has been signed to the practice squad, including the Chiefs Transaction report. What we do not have, is a reliable source providing his number. Just because the Chiefs do not have him listed on their website does not make it ok for you to provide a number when no reliable sources exist that provide a number. To word it differently, I can prove via Wikipedia's definition of a reliable source that he is on the practice squad, but you cannot prove based on Wikipedia's definition of a reliable source that he has the number 89.--Rockchalk717 17:45, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
Ok ReaganHoang10 (talk) 22:29, 17 September 2022 (UTC)

"most recently played" and "last played"
editYou should stop changing from "most recently played" to "last played" as you keep doing at John Wall or Kevin Love (and probably other pages), because you clearly do not understand the difference between these formations. The "most recently played" formation is used for players who have recently been waived or bought out and are expected to sign with another team in the near future. Meanwhile, the "last played" formation is used when a player does not sign with another team and does not announce retirement (it could take half a year or longer). I hope this explanation helps and future unneeded back-and-forth edits will be avoided. – sbaio 16:05, 20 February 2023 (UTC)

editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Baker Mayfield Jersey Number
editHey sorry again just wondering where the Source came from for baker Mayfields jersey number? If it was the website you mentioned before whats it called? Jack odo7 (talk) 20:30, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
Unsourced jersey numbers
editYou have been advised multiple times in the past about this. DO NOT change jersey numbers without providing a RELIABLE SOURCE of where the number change came from. If it's from the Twitter account again, you need to stop using it immediately. Next time I see this, I am going to WP:ANI. And regarding Mike Edwards number, until we either see pictures of McDuffie wearing another number and/or Edwards wearing 21, both number parameters should be left alone as the team website lists both players with 21 which is not allowed.--Rockchalk717 02:29, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
- Listen, I get that you hate the source and you don’t want me to use it. But I’m making it fair for you. I left some jersey numbers untouched on the roster template. Yes, I understand that it is “Wikipedia’s” rule that you were talking about half a year ago. I understand it. Team website jersey numbers are outdated, like I said a kajillion times, but apparently you deny the fact. All I’m trying to do is to get the jersey numbers up to date and not updated in like two months. I respect you as a Wikipedia user, and whatever I’m saying here is not meant to hurt you in any way. But reporting me to WP:ANI is just not worth it because jersey numbers aren’t worth bragging about. Thank you for understanding me. ReaganHoang10 (talk) 00:38, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
- Don't get it twisted, I don't "hate" that source. What I hate is that you swear by it and refuse to heed my warnings to stop using it. Team websites are slow to update with everything because they wait for things to be official. Sometimes they prematurely add duplicate numbers sometimes they add retired numbers (I still remember when Orlando Brown was traded to the Chiefs they had him as 78 until the summer despite 78 being retired). However, 99% of the time with jersey numbers they are accurate. They haven't been updated because the majority of the Chiefs offseason additions haven't officially received their numbers yet. Don't bad mouth team websites for numbers then turn around and use them when it's convenient for you like you did here. And yes, reporting you to ANI would be worth it because I just got another editor blocked for frequent unsourced editing (and a lack of communication but that's irrelevant). Sourcing edits is required. Once again, stop editing based on that Twitter page and their website. They fail to pass qualification for a reliable source because they are considered a self published source. A block would be 100% warranted for the following reasons:
1. You were advised here of the policy in how it applies to that source per WP:BEFOREBLOCK. You were initially informed of the sourcing policy via a warning on your talkpage from Eagles247 on March 12, 2021.
2. You were blocked by administrator Eagles247 April 2, 2021, for addition of unsourced content.
3. You have now officially been warned that continued action of unsourced edits would result in an ANI report.
Point blank, I don't want to go to ANI for this, but if I catch you in the act again, I will do it. I'm done discussing this with you and I will not return to your talkpage for this specific issue unless it's to post the ANI post warning because I caught you making unsourced number changes.--Rockchalk717 05:01, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
- Reason #2 wasn’t because of jersey numbers. 2021 was when I didn’t even source things at all. Nowadays I source every transaction that happens, so reason #2 just doesn’t add up. ReaganHoang10 (talk) 14:37, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
FYI on pinging another user
editIf you link a user name (I think) or use Template:Ping, you can notify another user about being mentioned, if you do it in a paragraph wiht a new signature. But if you do it like you did here, adding to a paragraph that's already signed, it doesn't work. So your attempt to notify him, assuming that was your intent, did not work. Case fixes
editAs you can see at the discussion at WT:MOSCAPS#List items, alternatives, compounds, etc. of music genres, occupations, sports positions, etc., esp. in infoboxes, my case fixing edits have nothing to do with wanting to take over the NBA, and all to do with following guidelines more uniformly across all topics. Thanks for backing off. Dicklyon (talk) 17:06, 9 July 2023 (UTC)

NBA positions
editHi there. I tweaked your edit to Gary Payton II to just list him as a generic "guard". Per WP:NBAPOSITION, we don't list more than two positions, so use "Guard / small forward" instead. Regards. —Bagumba (talk) 03:15, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- Some people won’t understand what type of guard he is. Putting just “guard” is too vague. They’ll be wondering, “Is he a point guard? Shooting guard? Both?” I just wanted to be specific. Someone said it was because of space which was why they had to make it big, but we have enough space for it. For now, I’ll revert your edit, but you can explain more if you’d like to. Thanks. ReaganHoang10 (talk) 04:33, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- I understand your point. However, the consensus was established as written at WP:NBAPOSITION, and there is a link to the prior discussion there. You're free to try to establish a new consensus at WT:NBA, but I'd ask you not to edit war. You were also involved with a similar issue at Bruce Brown (basketball). Please consider self-reverting. Thanks.—Bagumba (talk) 04:42, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
Pau Gasol
edit- Several of his center years came outside of his prime
- A player's most recent position does not matter, I don't know if you made that up or not, but you still have yet to provide a source
- He is regularly cited, including in the Wikipedia article, as one of the greatest power forwards of all time: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
I'm only going to revert it once more, but if you feel that you're right, that's up to you I guess JAX4981 (talk) 04:31, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
- Ok I guess you’re right ReaganHoang10 (talk) 13:26, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
Duplicate links
editHi, I just wanna let you know. It is not something I want to do, it is a MOS rule, you can see that specific rule here: MOS:REPEATLINK. I know it says that infoboxes are an exception, but what it means is, for example: "Patrick Mahomes is an American football quarterback". Although quarterback already is linked in the article, it is better to link it again in the infobox for better quality. But if the link is practically consecutive, as in this case, it is best not to link it again because the article may be overlinked (MOS:OVERLINK) Sergio Skol (talk) 19:27, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
Trendon Watford
editSo on basketball reference, his position is listed as PF/SF, but when you look at their positional breakdown under the play-by-play section, it says 54% center, 43% power forward, and 3% small forward. So that's why I removed small forward, but if you think it should be left, that's fine. Basketball reference is really weird with their positions. JAX4981 (talk) 04:47, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
- Where do I find the play by play section? ReaganHoang10 (talk) 08:18, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
- It's the section between adjusted shooting and shooting JAX4981 (talk) 16:51, 6 August 2023 (UTC)
September 2023
editPlease stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Malik Beasley, you may be blocked from editing. You need to cite a reliable source when changing a player's position. I'm seeing quite a few of your changes to be contrary to what NBA.com lists from their current team. At the very least, please leave a relevant edit summary. Thanks. —Bagumba (talk) 01:50, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
- In your edit at Dalano Banton, you removed—without explanation—his forward position, which was supported by the infobox's link to https://www.nba.com/player/1630625. Please cite your changes and leave explanations in the edit summary. Regards. —Bagumba (talk) 06:18, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- Plus Banton doesn’t really play small forward. ReaganHoang10 (talk) 23:04, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- Plus it was a manual self revert. ReaganHoang10 (talk) 23:04, 4 September 2023 (UTC)

- Yes, it's good that you put your reasoning and supporting URL in the edit summary. As for the content, I've started a related discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Basketball Association § Player positions from basketball-reference.com. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Template:Golden State Warriors roster. —Bagumba (talk) 13:32, 28 September 2023 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Jimmy Butler. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. – sbaio 06:53, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
