The [[fete]] aims to put an alternative spin on the traditional English village [[fete]] and features stalls from both established names and newcomers in the UK's creative industries, in particular from the fields of [[Graphic Design]] and [[Fashion]].

According to an article in industry title Design Week, "the aim of the line-up is to provide a current snapshot of contemporary design, looking at both practices and individuals".

Participants in the 2008 event included jewellery designers [[Tatty Devine]], digital ad agency [[Poke London]], design studio [[Graphic Thought Facility]], lo-fi publication [[Fever Zine]] and graphic designer [[Daniel Eatock]].
