Obec Teriakovce leží medzi dvoma potokmi, ktoré sú tzv. hranicou medzi obcou Šalgovík a obcou Ruská Nová Ves. Na juhozápadnej strane obec Teriakovce susedí s mestskou časťou Solivar. Zo severovýchodu susedí s obcou Vyšná Šebastová.

Obec leží od krajského mesta Prešov na východ. Vzdušná čiara je asi 4 až 5 km, po ceste 6 km. Obec sa začína na konci vicinálnej cesty (odbočka) Solivar - Ruská Nová Ves - Teriakovce. Obec je na miernom svahu medzi dvoma malými potokmi, čo tečú na východ a na západ.

Obec leží v priemernej nadmorskej výške 450 m (rozsah 400 - 550 m). V katastri prevládajú hnedé lesné pôdy, severnú časť tvoria súvislé lesné porasty, ktoré naznačujú začiatok Slanských vrchov. Územie odvodňujú potoky Šalgovický a Čerešňovský.

Teriakovce (Hungarian: Terjékfalva) is a village and municipality in Prešov District in the Prešov Region of eastern Slovakia. The village was first mentioned in the historical records in 1385.
