Plácido Flamingo was an opera-singing flamingo on Sesame Street, mainly appearing in the 1980s. He was a parody of opera singer Plácido Domingo, who also guest appeared once on the show. The only merchandising known to include Plácido were coloring books and videos; no actual toys of him are known to have existed, nor has he been seen in the line of books. Flamingo's most renowned appearance was arguably during the Sesame Street Special (aka "Put Down the Duckie"), when he sang "Zing Hey!", accompanied by an all-animal orchestra and conducted by "world famous conductor, and very good sport, Seiji Ozawa."
