The second shooting attack at the Alon gas station occurred on 29 February, 2024, at a gas station near the Eli settlement in northern Binyamin. In the attack, two Israeli citizens were murdered.[1]

The attack took place 8 months after the first shooting at the same location, in which 4 Israelis were murdered.[2]

The Attack

Around five in the afternoon, a Palestinian terrorist armed with a storm rifle opened fire on Israeli citizens at a gas station near the settlement of Ali. Two Israeli citizens were murdered in the attack, Yitzhak Zeiger, a 57-year-old resident of the Shavei Shomron settlement, and the teenager Uriah Hartum, aged 16.5, a resident of Dolev in the hills of Binyamin. The terrorist was later killed by Aviad Gezber, a reservist officer and the manager of "Hummus Eliyahu" at the gas station, who had taken a break from reserve service as part of the fighting in the Gaza Strip.[3]

The terrorist, Mohammad Manasrah, served as an investigation officer at a rank equivalent to a chief warrant officer in the Palestinian Authority police and was released in 2019 from imprisonment for firearms theft offenses.[4]
