The band was formed in 2018[3] by South Salem, New York brothers Anton (guitar and violin) and Joseph Klettner (keyboards/piano and guitar). They were joined by singer Ava Anduze, whom they contacted after watching her perform in a YouTube video,[4] and drummer Ethan Grossman, who was found through a local drum instructor.[5] All were teens.[6] Calvin Strothenke was the original bassist;[2] he was replaced by Toby Dorfman in the following years.[7] In addition to the songwriting done by the Klettner brothers, who have classical training,[8][9][4] Anduze, a songwriting major, also contributes songs to the band. The band won first place at the 2019 Connecticut's Got Talent competition.[11] Since then, they have performed at venues across the East Coast, and also at various festivals, including Sail Across The Sun in Miami, FL, The Big E, Pleasantville Music Festival (opening for X Ambassadors[14]), and the Mazzstock festival.[15][10] They were headliners of the Summer Concert Series in Danbury, Connecticut.[6]
