Recently have come back to Wikipedia after a few years. I come and go with waxing and waning obsessions with certain topics. My motivations for editing primarily come from a sense of concern for the proliferation and spike of pseudoscience and [[List of conspiracy theories|conspiracy theories]] on the internet following the COVID-19 pandemic. I watched many people fall into these conspiracies and observed the damage they caused, both on an individual and societal level.

I am admittedly still learning more of the Wikipedia style guide/markup and will make mistakes in my references or markup sometimes when I'm not quite sure how to fix them but I’ll always try to come back to them later and fix them up if I can figure it out.

I believe it is important to never fall back on "[[False balance|bothsideism]]", as this is not equivalent to neutrality and contributes to misinformation. This is dangerous.

Just passing through...

[edit]

Recently have come back to Wikipedia after a few years. I come and go with random interests. I also use Wikipedia a lot so when I see little things I like to fix them up.

I am admittedly still learning more of the Wikipedia style guide/markup and will make mistakes in my references or markup sometimes when I'm not quite sure how to fix them — but I’ll always try to come back to them later and fix them up if I can figure it out.

I appreciate any tips and friendly pokes so I can improve!
