Connall Ewan (born 11 March 2006) is a Scottish professional footballer who currently plays as a defender for Scottish League One side, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, on loan from Premiership rivals, Ross County.[1]
Career
[edit]Ewan was born in Inverness, and grew up playing through the Ross County Youth Setup, before being promoted into the senior team in 2022.[2]
In July 2022, Ewan joined Highland League side, Forres Mechanics,[3] where he would score 4 goals for the side as the Can Cans finished 11th in the league.
In August 2023, after being snubbed for Ross County's League Cup fixtures, Ewan was sent on loan to League Two side, Elgin City,[4] making his professional debut in a 1–0 home loss to Stranraer,[5] scoring 3 times throughout the season as Elgin finished mid table.
At the end of August 2024, after, again failing to make an appearance for Ross County, Ewan was sent on loan to Highland Derby rivals, and recently relegated to League One, Inverness Caledonian Thistle,[6] which came as a surprise to many, as earlier that month, it was reported that Inverness failed to pay Ross County loan fees for Alex Samuel,[7][8] however, Ewan went and made his debut for Inverness in a 1–0 home win over Queen of the South.[9]
