Nicholas Caradoc Hoult[1] (born 7 December 1989[2][3][4]) is an English film and television actor. He is known for playing Marcus in the film About a Boy and Tony in E4 drama Skins.
Biography
Personal life
Hoult, the third of four children,[5] was born in Wokingham, Berkshire to Glenis, a piano teacher, and Roger Hoult, a pilot for British Airways.[6] His siblings are James, Rosie and Clarista.[7]
Hoult attended William Beamont High School whilst living in Warrington for 2 years. Nicholas now attends The Henley College in Oxfordshire. [citation needed]
Career
Hoult trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London and made his film debut as Bobby in the Boxer Films/Fox Searchlight picture Intimate Relations. Although About A Boy marked his first leading role in a feature film, he has worked since the age of eight in film, television and theatre.[citation needed]
He cites Stagger Lee and Sebastian Valmont amongst the influences on the way he portrays Tony in Skins.[citation needed]
