"In Your Care"
Song

"In Your Care" was the second single to be released by singer-songwriter Tasmin Archer.

Summary

It was released at the start of 1993 but failed to pick up as much airplay and media support as Sleeping Satellite, In Your Care looked like it was heading into the top 10 but stalled at #16 and in turn, dropped out of the charts. The money made from this release was donated to the charity Child Line, just like the #1 single With a Little Help from My Friends / She's Leaving Home by Wet Wet Wet & Billy Bragg.

More Information

  • The lyrics of In Your Care deal with the grim topic of child abuse, a topic Archer obviously feels very strongly about. When the chorus kicks in we can hear her scream “Son of a bitch!” directed towards the abuser in the song.
  • CD1 and CD2 of the song were released on two separate weeks, this could explain the steep climb in sales in the second week of it’s release. CD1 included a remix of album track Ripped Inside while CD2 included a remix of Sleeping Satellite
