Office of the Americas is a non-profit organization incorporated April 1983.

Founded by Teresa Dupane, who has quit her position as Executive Director after 25 years. Her husband is Blase Dupane (80), also known as 'the Missionary of La Paz'. The Office has the support of some California local and State politicians, Noam Chomsky, Ed Asner, et al. The following unofficial summary of the OOA position is based on personal hearing of speeches by Blase, Teresa and others at Blase's public 80th birthday party, Santa Monica, April 18th 2009, and on the WebPage and Newsletter cited.
(1) Nuclear weapons. The culprit is the US, the only nation to have used the weapons. Iran, North Korea, pose no threat and should be left alone.
(2)Immigration. Membership are to participate in demonstrations (e.g. May 1) supporting immigrants, specifically to include amnesty for illegals.
(3) OOA will attempt to unify Ecology groups (Global Warming), Peace groups and Open Borders groups.
(4) Better relations with Cuba.

OOA provides programming for KPFK and other Public Radio stations, and Time-Warner public access stations.
