Founded by Teresa Dupane, who has quit her position as Executive Director after 25 years. Her husband is Blase Dupane (80), also known as 'the Missionary of La Paz'. The Office has the support of some California local and State politicians, Noam Chomsky, Ed Asner, et al. The following unofficial summary of the OOA position is based on personal hearing of speeches by Blase, Teresa and others at Blase's public 80th birthday party, Santa Monica, April 18th 2009, and on the WebPage and Newsletter cited. |
