ACS Chemical Neuroscience[1] is a new journal published by the American Chemical Society. This journal focuses on neurological function at a molecular level in all organisms, chemical neurobiology and bio-neurochemistry.

The Editor-in-Chief of the journal is Craig W. Lindsley [2] of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. The areas of research for the journal are:

  • neurotransmitters and receptors;
  • neuropharmaceuticals and therapeutics;
  • neural development—Plasticity, and degeneration;
  • chemical, physical, and computational methods in neuroscience;
  • neuronal diseases—basis, detection, and treatment;
  • mechanism of aging, learning, memory and behavior;
  • pain and sensory processing;
  • neurotoxins
  • neuroscience-inspired bioengineering;
  • development of methods in chemical neurobiology;
  • neuroimaging agents and technologies;
  • animal models for central nervous system diseases.
