Margaret Bakkes (born December 14, 1931) is a noted South African writer. She is married to historian Cas Bakkes, and is the mother of four children: Johannes, Marius, Matilde and Christiaan. Two of her children, C. Johan Bakkes and Christiaan Bakkes have become writers as well.
She has written over thirty books and short stories.
