Barbatia is a genus of "bearded" ark clams, marine bivalve mollusks in the family Arcidae, the ark clams.

This genus is known in the fossil record from the Jurassic period to the Quaternary period (age range: 167.7 to 0.0 million years ago). These fossils have been found all over the world.[1]
