== Horrible ==

Reading this is horrible. It's uncylopedic, cluttered, links are out of date, opinions are written and backed up by dead links from message boards, the grammar isn't correct, there is a whole section about Kimberly Stewart that isn't necessary, there is a section about Nicole Richie that isn't necessary, info that is out of date, etc. I'm going to start working on this tomorrow, removing what I wrote about above.

Reality level

somebody knows anything about the "reality" level of this show? Looks like fake reality to me, seems like it's all set up. --80.131.69.139 15:47, 22 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Mmm, I seem to remember Paris, on Letterman, saying that the producers of the show would hint at the behaviours/actions they would like for the show, in the various situation they encounter. Maybe you could dig up a quote to that effect? --Commander Keane 15:55, August 22, 2005 (UTC)

i love the show and its honestly a great show maybe some of its set up but i know at least some of its real.im dissapointed that it was cancelled in my country new zealand.10:30 september 23, 2005.from shanna new zealand

Cleanup

I have added the Wikify tag due to the mispresented (ie. colloquial) language used in the article; this is an encyclopaedia! :) --^pirate 17:09, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I concur! The majority of the article reads ok as far as i'm concerned, but the "premise" section definitely needs some heavy work. I would even suggest completely rewriting it.--66.161.34.129 20:02, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The road to season 4?

The season 4 section is looking a little cluttered at the moment, but I still feel that all the info in it is valid and important. I was wondering what others thought of maybe having a section to go between seasons 3 and 4 to include info on the early season 4 plans, the fall-out between Paris and Nicole, etc.

Then the season 4 section can just start with a clean slate, starting with shooting date, etc.

Good or bad idea? Celebrity-Benji 19:48, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea. (Jtervin just not signed in yet lol)

Episode guide

I think that an episode guide is needed not just little summary paragraphs. 172.201.230.169 04:04, 12 July 2006

You're right. Maybe a new page with an Episode Guide with screenshots sorta like this one might be good. I'll consider making one when I've got a little more time on my hands. Celebrity-Benji 05:14, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I added one here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Simple_Life_episodes and linked it from this page, is it okay to be there? Music Lover
I was working on one. lol You beat me two it. I even made screenshots. :) Good work! Celebrity-Benji 07:44, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup

I think that somebody needs to fix the Remakes , Rip-Offs and Spin-Offs section because it seems really crowded. What do all of you think? Jtervin 01:05, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disagreed. One section is sufficient. We're focussing on the original U.S version here. The Remakes, Rip-Offs and Spin-Offs section is trivia more-so then anything. Expanding is not nesacary. The dogs also do not warrent their own section. Celebrity-Benji 12:04, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the dogs need to be mentoned somewhat in Nicole's article and Paris's article and that if they are mentioned there then I can leave them out of here. Also, I know we are foucusing on the US version but the remakes and crap section looks like its too much in one section that nobody would want to read. Jtervin 13:54, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Since it took me a long time to type it up and source it correctly, I really don't appreciate your harsh personal view to be honest for a "crap section that nobody would want to read". I'd like to see what others have to say, but honestly, 1 section focussing on the trivia of the other TV shows and movies that have been inspired by The Simple Life is more then enough, and I'm sure there are others who would agree. There used to be nothing but a link to the Lihtne Elu site, I put that whole "Remakes.." section together myself.
The dogs are not a major part, they don't contribute a whole lot. As you know, I'm updating the Episode List, and Tinkerbell and Foxy will be mentioned accordingly if they somehow contribute to the episode. Have a look, Tinkerbell is already noted in a few episodes. But a whole section devoted to them? Really not nesacary. I think Tinkerbell's page is hardly worth existing aswell to be honest. They're dogs, famous dogs, but they virtually don't do anything and are not worth noting here or on Paris or Nicole's pages, in my opinion. Celebrity-Benji 03:44, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well sorry about calling it that. Also, ok but then I think you should try to delete Tinkerbell's page because if you thinks it does not belong then do something about it. Jtervin 19:23, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merchandise

I removed the list of unsourced merchandise simply because Wikipedia is not a store. It was nothing but advertisements, and even then, the DVDs have already been adressed. Celebrity-Benji 08:33, 19 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted content

I worked very hard to expand this artical and provide as much info as possible on all sorts of things, from spinoffs to the production problems and histroy, and I'm quite upset to see people deleting it.

There was no reason for info on the production history of season 4 to be deleted! It's important, the show was lucky it continued despite all the problems.

If you want a basic rundown of what happens in the seasons as opposed to a detailed article with info on production, and the legacy the show has created, then consider editing the episode list instead please. Celebrity-Benji 03:56, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I say "Wikipedia is not a news site" now that's fierce--hottie 15:23, 7 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You wasted your time

This article is atrociously written. Someone really needs to re-write this into something that doesn't sound like a series of press releases.

"The girls." "The girls." "The girls." Horrible.

You will not find "The girls" anywhere in this article anymore. Celebrity-Benji 13:51, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's on EOnline.com so I figure it's reliable. In any case, I am certainly disappointed, but that's a personal side note :)
