Milk pie (Indonesian: pai susu) is an Indonesian traditional dessert pastry consisting of an outer pastry crust filled with egg custard as well as condensed milk. This pastry is very flat with the filling practically only consists of one very thin layer of custard. The origin of this pastry is from Bali.[1]
Milk pie is a unique pastry, the shape is similar to Portuguese pastel de nata, yet it contains egg custard.[2]
