Waysons is Swiss DJ duo consisting of Doane Allan and Julian Tegerstrand.[1] They have released numerous tracks for the label No Copyright Sounds, along with also releasing tracks through the labels, AVENT/GARDE,[2] Worka Tune[3] and Revealed Recordings.[4]

Career

2013–2015: Career beginnings and early success

In 2013, Waysons kick-started their career playing in and out of small parties and various clubs.[5] Soon after, the duo debuted with their single, "Outburst" through No Copyright Sounds. The song was made available for all platforms on 27 October 2013.

On 20 January 2014, Waysons released their remix of Hillsong United's hit, "Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)" as a free download.[6] On 3 May, Waysons released the single, "Faon," in collaboration with Carl Michael.[7] On 7 May, Waysons released their "cinematic" track, "Continuum" as a free download. On 22 May, the duo released a free download of their remix of "The Dark Knight" by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard.[8]

On 25 January 2015, Waysons released their single, "Aeronaut,"[9] via Soundcloud, as a free download. On 19 April, the duo released the track, "Tourist," with Rowen Reecks and Lizzy Dent via the record label, LYD.[10][11] On 24 April, Waysons released the single, "First Flight" through Chris Avantgarde's record label, AVANT/GARDE.[12][13] In May, Waysons signed with Aprod Management and got their first residency at the Aprodia Events (Swiss Nightlife Award 2014).[14] Soon after, on 3 May, Waysons released a classical single titled, "Polar," as a free download.[15] In June, Waysons released a free download of their track, "Eternal Minds."[16] On 23 October, the duo released the single, "Homeland,"[17] featuring Charlie Ray and Nathan Brumley, via Revealed Recordings.[18][19] The song gained support from the DJs, Hardwell, Knife Party, Quintino and Tritonal.[20] Waysons then released a remix of "Lost & Found" by Sick Individuals on 25 November.[21] On 28 November, Waysons released the single, "Daydream" via No Copyright Sounds, as a free download.[22][23] The song later gained over 5.9 million views on Youtube.[24]

2016–present: New music

On 26 January 2016, No Copyright Sounds picked up Waysons' track, "Eternal Minds" and subsequently released it as a single.[25] The song later gained over 5.6 million views on Youtube.[26]
