Vegetius

Unless Vegetius gave Coel's name, he is just as likely to be talking about Quinctilius Varus, whose troops were wiped out by Hermann's coalition. The archaeology shows that their baggage train would have stretched for a mile or so. Unless you have better evidence, Vegetius doesn't prove anything about Coel since there's a far better example much closer to home. 100.15.127.199 (talk) 21:18, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
