Anyma is the solo project of Matteo Milleri, an Italian DJ and producer who is also known as one half of the duo Tale of Us and the co-founder of Afterlife Records. Anyma was launched in 2021 as a way to explore and combine the world of digital art, extended reality and musical individuality.[1][2][3] Anyma's sound is influenced by melodic house and techno, with elements of ambient, electronica and classical music.[4][5]
Anyma's debut EP, Claire, was released in June 2021 on Rose Avenue Records,[6][7][8][9] featuring collaborations with Janus Rasmussen and Delhia de France.[10][11] The title track was accompanied by the world's first full-size and definition NFT music video, created by Berlin-based artist Marigoldff and IOR50 Studio.[11][10][12][13] Anyma's second EP, Sentient, was released in July 2021 on Afterlife Records,[14][15][16] showcasing a darker and more experimental side of the project. Anyma's first album, Genesys, was released on 11 August 2023, though previously expected to be released on October 2021,[17][18][19] along with more immersive visual experiences.
Anyma's live performances are designed to create a unique sonic and visual landscape, where the audience can interact with the digital art and the music through state-of-the-art technology.[20] Anyma aims to blur the lines between physical and digital worlds, and to cultivate a more connected and immersive experience.[1][2][21]
Personal life
Matteo Milleri was born in New York and moved to Italy at a young age. He met Carmine Conte in Milan in 2008 while studying sound engineering at the SAE Institute. They formed the duo Tale of Us and relocated to Berlin, where they became one of the most prominent acts in the electronic music scene. They also founded their own label, Afterlife, in 2016, which hosts their own events and showcases their signature melodic and emotional style of techno and house music.[2]
Marriage
Anyma is married to Italian supermodel Vittoria Ceretti, who has appeared in campaigns for Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, and other brands.[22] The couple tied the knot in a stunning coastal wedding in Ibiza, Spain, in 2020.[23] However, in June 2023, Ceretti announced her separation from Anyma in a TikTok video, where she played a roulette game to show what her ex looks like.[24] She also wrote in the caption, "Genuinely shocked because this is him. Also if you see this, you know I still adore you, T."[24] Since December 2022, she has not been spotted with Anyma.[24] In August 2023, Ceretti was seen on an ice cream date with Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio in Santa Barbara, California.[25] Anyma has not commented on his marital status or his relationship with Ceretti.
